Dakshinamoorthi, a form of Lord Shiva, is the Guru of all the worlds and the entire universe, seated in Veerasana under a tree and imparting knowledge to all devotees and disciples. Two hands behind are holding a deer and an axe, and the right hand is in Jnana Mudra. On the tree behind, various birds and animals are depicted along with two snakes holding the Vedas.
